The Galtres Festival

Festival organisers are delighted to announce that the Forest of Galtres Festival will be going ahead this year over two days on the August Bank Holiday weekend - Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 August 2010.

The venue will be Crayke again, near Easingwold, the place where the Festival was born six years ago, but moving to a different, much larger site. We're also expanding to two full days - the Festival will start on the Saturday morning and run through to late Sunday night, with a full programme of entertainment, bands playing on the main stage headlined by The Lightning Seeds and The Beat, a packed line-up on the acoustic stage headlined by York's Chris Helme, former lead singer with The Seahorses and The Yards, loads of children's activities, a food festival and some catering from the region's best food people, and loads more. With 100+ different beers and 100+ bands performing, you'd be mad to miss it! The website should be updated again in a week or so and details of the programme will start to appear.

Do get in touch if you'd like to participate in any way - whether it's joining the committee, performing at the event, or helping out on the day.
