Little Monsters, the zombie extravaganza filmed on location at this year's Galtres Festival, is now available from the festival shop on high quality DVD - just in time for Christmas. An ideal present, especially if you know some one who is in it (click here to check).
With a professional cast from Clay Fish productions, Sophie Howard, Ian Lea and Tim Henton, and a hugely talented and enthusiastic team of over 50 young festival goers as a ravaging horde of blood thirty flesh eating zombies, the movie tells the story of an extra-terrestrial event that changes all the young people at a music festival into little monsters from another dimension.
The young cast were given an hour of coaching and training in order to get them prepared for their big screen moment and were then made up by a team from the Arts Barge Project who were responsible for the production of the movie as part of their contribution to this year's Forest of Galtres Festival.
Despite unseasonal wind and occasional showers the young cast performed magnificently, chasing adults out of bars, invading the festival portaloos and terrorising the St John Ambulance staff, before in a final spine-chilling finale taking over the main stage, having left the arena littered with the bodies of hundreds of innocent and unsuspecting adults.
Festival director James Houston said: "This film was a great contribution to this year's Festival - it was fun to watch the manic scenes as they were acted out, and the cast of kids evidently had a brilliant time. We hope to make more films at future festivals, as part of our drive to get more and more people involved in the performance aspects of the festival."
DVD copies are now available from the Festival Shop along with other great Christmas present ideas, and your last chance to buy early-bird tickets for 2011 with 40% off.
