RSJ are a five piece metal band from York that have firmly etched their chaotic and brutal, energy ridden live shows deep in the underground metal scene.

They have toured with and opened for many scene luminaries including Slayer, Trivium, Mastodon, Amon Amarth, Will Haven, Soulfly, Unearth, Skindred, Bio-Hazard, Funeral for a Friend, Nmemic and Orange Goblin. They've also played at many festivals such as HRH Road Trip to Ibiza 2012, Hellfire, Lowend, Hammerfest 4 (2nd stage), they've headlined the SCUZZ TV Stage at Bloodstock Open Air Festival and also deafened the masses at Sonisphere!

The band have had critical acclaim for their E.P. and 2 albums from magazines including Nuts, Metal Hammer (including a track on the covermount CD), Rock Sound, Terrorizer and Kerrang! (also appearing in an 'introducing' feature).

In 2007 the band were awarded the title of BEST UK METAL BAND 2007 at the National Music Awards in London and gained themselves sponsorship from ESP Guitars & Basses and Hughes & Kettner Amplification.

A nine track mini album, 'HIGGS BOSON', with official release date in mid 2013 showcases the band's unique sound and style which stands them high above today's crowded metal scene. The video for 'Collectively We Are Tall' (a spoof of Eric Prydz 'Call On Me' Video) taken from Higgs Boson has already had over 38,000 hits on You Tube after being premiered on Scuzz TV (reaching #1 in the SCUZZ TV TOP 20 Video Nasties and #10 in the SCUZZ TV TOP 20 Video LoL's beating many prestigious artists building the band's fanbase to new heights.

"The ability to switch with ease from atmospheric subtlety to an all-out riff storm, the band it seems, are worthy of the hype” - METAL HAMMER

"One of the heaviest metal bands from the UK in a long time." NUTS MAGAZINE

"Spine rattling polyrhythms and gargantuan guitars make this the best kind of musical sore thumb..." KERRANG!
