Festival Information

Galtres Parklands Festival will return to our fabulous location - Duncombe Park, Helmsley, York YO62 5EB. Find it on a map. It's on the edge of the spectacular North York Moors National Park, and is itself a National Nature Reserve.

The festival arena will be on Park Plain, the parklands area in front of the house, backing onto the woodland. Nearby fields will be used for parking and camping. View our site plan or take a look from the skies.

We will also be using an area in the valley for quieter camping - this is a short walk (about 10 minutes) down through the woods, where a broad flat meadow sweeps along the riverside. Well again put a riverside bar, campfire and catering down there by Mill Bridge as well as showers and all the usual campsite amenities.

Within Duncombe Park there are woodland walks to enjoy, a falconry centre to visit, and on the Sunday and Monday of the Galtres weekend there will also be a craft fair in the stately home and formal gardens.

A little further afield is the excellent market of town of Helmsley with its shops, pubs and good accommodation, and also Helmsley Castle which overlooks the town and the driveway into Duncombe Park. Rievalux Abbey is just up the road and well worth a visit too while you're in the area. For more about the region check out the Visit Ryedale website.
