David Keegan is a singer/songwriter based in York, where he enjoys a fine reputation as an outstanding performer either working solo or in a host of collaborative projects with other musicians such as David Ward Maclean, Simon Snaize, Sam Forrest, Chris Helme, Boss Caine and many more.

He has played countless gigs over the past 10 years - including a high-profile slot at Galtres Black Howl stage at last year's festival - and never fails to deliver a dynamic and memorable performance.

He writes highly melodic songs with a nod towards classic pop songsmiths like Paul McCartney, Neil Finn, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Andy Partridge (XTC), etc. and has recently completed a brand new solo album featuring his very best work to date. 

Recorded at the legendary Factory of Unprofessional Sound with producer Sam Forrest (Nine Black Alps, Sorry Kisses), he has expanded his core acoustic sound with band and string arrangements, most of which he played himself, and an experimental approach to both recording and mixing. 

He is very excited to bring this new project to life at the Galtres 2014 festival with a full band line-up.
