Formed in 2010, Hartlepool band The Jar Family is a collective of singer-­-songwriters Max Bianco, Dali, Al Devon, Richie Docherty, Chris Hooks and former Squeeze bassist, Keith Wilkinson.

The Jar Family have forged a distinctive style of North East blues & roots, uniquely coined as 'Industrial Folk', which has quickly amassed the band an extremely loyal fan-­base across the country.

In addition to being very well received by the national music press, the band’s debut single, ‘Poolie Strut’ became the most requested song in Radio Hartlepool’s history and has since been played at all of Hartlepool United’s home matches, leading to the home faithful chanting the song on the terraces.

As well as headline gigs during 2012 at Camden’s Barfly, Water Rats, The Garage, Stockton Theatre and an Oxjam Mini-Tour, the band provided tour support for infamous rockers Alabama 3, Ocean Colour Scene’s Steve Craddock, followed by a run of tour dates and festival appearances across the UK.
