We're going to be composting at Galtres 2012 for the second year. Suitable food waste, cardboard and other biodegradable material will be collected and composted and, after rotting down, will be used for tree planting and for growing vegetables and plants for next year's festival. Lovely!
As always we'll be enthusiastically recycling too, and will have a team of volunteers helping to sort through the waste and make sure it ends up the correct collector. Despite a larger attendance expected this year, we've not booked any additional rubbish skips, and infact hope to reduce the amount of waste which goes to landfill.
