Following the popularity of previous years' schemes, we're again planning to plant loads of trees after the Festival.
We're keen to reduce the carbon footprint of the Festival, and also to take some small steps towards restoring some of the ancient forest from which our event takes its name. And we'd like your help.
When you buy your tickets online you'll be offered the opportunity to also make a donation of £5 - for this we'll source and plant a tree for you.
We've also teamed up with Treemendous York to fund their tree-planting initiatives - they want to plant 50,000 trees in and around the city of York, and we've already helped them make a start.

Many of the trees we've planted in the past have been native English - oak, ash, horse chestnut, sycamore, holly etc - and were planted in the local area. A public footpath runs alongside the land, so people can wander by and watch their trees grow into a beautiful wood.
